Direct Marketing Business

To launch a direct marketing business is not as difficult as you my think. With some basic computers skills. Most people can start a business on the web. Contained in this document is a closer look at one of the available options and the steps to take when starting a direct marketing business.

There are many ways to earn money on the internet. The most popular is by selling some product or other. The product can be your own or someone else’s which you sell for a commission. Out of all the options available. The quickest way yet to make money fast is by becoming a Pay Per Click Affiliate using Google Adwords.

I must warn you though. If pay per click marketing is not done correctly, you could very easily loose a bundle. So beware, pay per click marketing is not for the faint at heart. On the other hand, if done correctly. It can also be most rewarding.

There is one product I use to great effect, and that is “Day Job Killer”. This instructional ebook is by no means new on the market. It has been around for quite some time. And was at one stage, the number one selling guide for learning all about direct pay per click marketing.

There have been many, many publications on the subject since Day Job Killer came onto the scene. And the ones I had a look at, I found to be no more that a rehash of the original. For my money. I would stick with Day Job Killer, because when compared. It is still the best.

You could I suppose, compare Day Job Killer to a classic model of motor vehicle. No matter how many variations and so called improvements are made to the vehicle. The classic still stands alone in a class of it’s own.

But how does Pay Per Click marketing work you may ask. Let us take a look at the basic steps involved, to give you a better idea.

The first thing you will need to do is find a product to sell. For this I would recommend that you open an account with Click Bank. This is a good place to start and the service is free. Once your account has been confirmed. Do a bit of reading to get the basics.

You can then find a product in the market place area in your click bank account. For starters, stay in an area in which you have some knowledge and do a search for a product on that subject. Make a list of 5 to 10 products that pay a commission of $20.00  or more.

When this is done. Open an account with Google Adwords. You will be using this account to advertise the product or products you have selected from Click Bank. As well as doing the necessary keyword research.

When the account has been confirmed. Have a look at the help sections to get the feel of how Adwords works. In brief. The system is based on keywords that would attract buyers to your ad. you would bid on the keywords that you want to use. Remember, the more popular the keyword, the higher the minimum bid will be.

Now you would do some research to find out if the product can be profitable. For this purpose you will be using the Adwords keyword tool. Enter the exact full name of the product you have chosen, and let google find keywords.

Go through all the related keywords. What you are looking for are keywords that have more then a 1000 searches per month. And that do not have too much competition. Bare in mind that the higher the competition, the higher the minimum bid needs to be to get you ad on page one of Google. The estimated required bid will give you an idea if the keyword is usable or not.

If someone is searching for say, “How to Cook Beef” and this is the title of your product. It would safe to say that someone doing that search wants to know how to cook beef. Therefore, it would be reasonable to expect that for every 100 clicks on your ad would lead to at least one sale. Working on a 100% profit margin. At a minimum bid of .10c you would show a profit of $10.00 on that one sale. All additional sales out the 100 clicks would be pure profit.

This may not sound like you will not be making a lot of money. But, repeat the same procedure with 20 to 30 products giving a profit of $300.00 each per month. And you will see how quickly it ads up.

From the keyword list as explained above. You need to find 5 or 6 keywords that describe the product you are selling. Ad these to your keyword list. Remember. The title of the product can be the main keyword. You do not need 1000′s of keywords. A select few with low minimum bids will fit the bill perfectly.

Now for the ad. If “How to Cook Beef” for example is the product, then that could be your title. Simple. For the body of the ad, have a look at the competition ads for your keyword. Use the top ones and change them slightly so that your ad is the same but slightly different.

All sounds pretty simple, doesn’t it? Simple it is. But the way you go about the execution of each of the above steps is critical to your success. This is why Day Job Killer is such an excellent instructional ebook. It takes you by the hand through each of the steps in detail. Leaving no questions unanswered.

A word of warning. And as I mentioned earlier. Playing the Adwords game can be can a very expensive exercise if you do not monitor your monthly spending against sales made. You also need to be able to monitor your ads and keywords, to find out which are working and which are wasting you money. If you do this. You could have a very pleasant experience when starting a direct marketing business.
